Custom Orthotics
At the Ayr Physiotherapy Clinic, we are pleased to offer custom-made orthotics provided by Dr. Glenn Ashizawa. With extensive training and expertise in biomechanics, Dr. Glenn designs high-quality orthotics tailored specifically to each patient's feet. Using a foam casting technique with a subtler neutral approach, these custom orthotics are precision-crafted in a specialized laboratory to provide optimal support and alignment.
Custom orthotics may be used to treat a wide range of foot and lower extremity conditions, including flat or collapsed arches (pes planus), plantar fasciitis, and metatarsalgia. They may also be used to address leg length discrepancies, helping to improve pelvic alignment and reduce strain on the lower back.
Designed for use in everyday footwear, athletic shoes and work boots, custom orthotics can enhance foot support and alignment, promoting improved posture, balance, and overall body mechanics.
